The Arena as well as the City went wild for about 2 years after that Ron Schock goal. I don't remember being three goals down in the third period, but that was a long time ago.

Rob Kientzle
St. Louis, MO

PS The only other Blues goal that compares to that was Doug Wickenheiser's Monday Night Miracle goal in 1986 in double overtime against heavily favoured Calgary. But it wasn't a series winning game 7 goal. He should be commended for that. But, in terms of pure skill and the ability to dominate a game, there was and remains today nobody in Mario's league. Sidney Crosby is a great player but his relatively small stature keeps him from being the standout that Mario was.
Take a look again people at the many game highlights and you will draw the same conclusions.
Super Mario!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8544814808582472.post-48700155737852139812016-07-04T00:09:31.679-07:002016-07-04T00:09:31.679-07:00Rick is my Dad's cousin, my Uncle Doug says he...Rick is my Dad's cousin, my Uncle Doug says he taught him how to shoot a slap shot. He always got a kick out of making me uncomfortable! I had a huge crush on goalie Gary Inness and was heart-broken when he was traded.
